Frontiersman Sourdough is a wild cultivated Alaskan sourdough starter, handmade in Anchorage, Alaska. It is shelf stable, made with 100% organic ingredients, and packaged in a biodegradable pouch.
The first frontiersmen to come to Alaska cultivated wild sourdough starter to leaven their bread without access to other yeast. Today, old grizzled Alaskans are known as Sourdoughs in homage to the miners and trappers who settled Alaska.
