Office / Inventory Manager Job Description

 

Alaska Salt Company is seeking to add a full-time year-around member to our tight-knit team [aka Salt Squad]. We hope to find someone who wants to grow with our business and has the following skills:

  • Excellent communication and is a team player

  • Basic computer skills (able to create spreadsheets, communicate with the team electronically, experience with Shopify/Quickbooks is a plus)

  • Excellent customer service, both in person and online

  • Works well independently without constant direction/supervision

  • Attention to detail

  • Organized and able to oversee large inventory projects

  • Can manage an appropriate work/life balance (hustle hard while at work but prioritize personal physical and mental wellbeing)

  • Has a current, valid driver's license

  • Is hungry for success.

 

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Customer Experience: thank, answer the question, fix issues, make the sale! :) 

    • Answer customer emails

    • Manage social media engagement  

    • Assist in-person shoppers in multiple store locations.

  • Order Fulfillment

    • Fulfill online orders

    • Manage order packing supplies

  • Inventory Management

    • Anticipate product making needs and communicate with kitchen staff appropriately

    • Product and supply ordering

    • Keep shops and back-of-house shelves stocked with products

    • Maintain a general knowledge of current inventories

  • Assist with Production

    • Fill/label/batch products when able, as needed

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

    • Manage packing materials and recycling

 

At Alaska Salt Co, we sell things, and the management of inventory is key to ensuring a great customer experience. An important role in this position includes the responsibility of ensuring customers' needs are taken care of in a timely manner. Responsibilities encompass the entire Alaska Salt Co. customer experience, from providing solutions and support to "making the sale", fulfilling online orders, making sure we have things to sell, as well as handling post-sales issues, feedback, and general customer support.

This will be a salary position in the range of $32k - $45k per year depending on experience. We offer benefits like schedule flexibility, PTO, and sales related bonuses.
