MEET THE ARTISTS
Sophie Green is a lifelong Alaskan with a passion for painting. Having spent her formative years exploring the rugged landscape of the Kenai Peninsula, she found solace and inspiration in Alaska's untamed wilderness. Sophie's work is a fusion of reality and imagination, often inbued with vibrant metallic and iridescent pigments. When she is not covered in paint, you can find her at a local festival or spending time in the garden with her cat.
Kelly Leonard is a long time Alaskan from Valdez. She spent time living in Girdwood (working on the mountain), and fishing commercially out of Prince William Sound. After getting married, she and her husband moved to Palmer while she homeschooled their four children. Kelly began painting a few years ago to unwind in the evenings, and soon got hooked. Kelly paints lively abstracts with vibrant colors, fields of flowers, and Alaskan landscapes.
