Each hat is knit by hand with love by Laurel, the one-woman show behind Alabaster Purl.
Laurel was born and raised in Homer, Alaska and now lives in Louisville, Kentucky. She returns for the summers to sell her knitwear at the farmers market and to visit family and friends. Here she finds inspiration in the beauty of nature and the cooler climate, sparking color combinations inspired by the intense colors found in Alaska.
